We are looking for a Project Manager is responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering Agile projects that provide exceptional business value to customers. What You’ll Do

  • Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects
  • Manage customer expectations for project deliverables, stakeholder communications, and implementing an effective system of project governance

  • Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile Project Management
  • Prepare and publish a status report in intervals throughout the lifecycle of a project
  • Develop expertise on Life Science industry requirements and trends to ensure teams meet all required process requirements
  • Break down any barriers, resolve conflicts, and enable high velocity teams
  • Work with all stakeholders (Engineering Pre-Validation, Product Management, Services & Support) for smooth execution of projects
  • Maintain JIRA projects
  • Work with Technical Leads for sprint and release planning

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent experience
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience working with software development life cycle models, Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience implementing software or web development projects using Agile methodologies including managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams
  • Sufficient level of technical background to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
  • Prior work experience in an early-stage company is a plus
  • Good understanding of agile principles and scrum methodology

  • Discuss with customers/SME to understand business processes and formulate solutions to intricate requirements.
  • Working with large datasets from disparate systems to derive trends, patterns, and correlations that integrates with data-driven solutions.

  • Produce quality deliverables like, high and detailed level designs including data model, API specifications, wireframes, program logics, user requirement documents etc.

  • Experience and knowledge in analyzing supply chain tables/data of at least one ERP system, SAP or JDE. Knowledge in how tables can be joined to bring out a business reporting requirement.
  • E2E ERP implementation experience is an added advantage.
  • An understanding of Visualization tools (e.g. Tableau/Power BI/Graph UI)
  • Experience on Consumer, Pharma/Life-Sciences industry.
  • Basic ability to understand technical code ABAP / Python etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Development Leadership

  • Research, design, implement, and manage software programs, ensuring they align with strategic objectives.
  • Lead the technical direction and execution of software projects throughout the full development lifecycle.

Scalable Product Development:

  • Collaborate with the Tech team to transform Proof of Concepts (POCs) into fully scalable, production-ready products.
  • Contribute to the development of distributed, scalable systems, and high-volume transactional applications.

Code Quality and Testing:

  • Uphold excellent code quality standards, employing unit testing and ensuring adherence to coding best practices.
  • Support the team in achieving high code quality reflected in quality metrics.

Technical Leadership:

  • Lead and guide a team of engineers through the software development lifecycle, providing mentorship and technical expertise.

Strategic Issue Resolution:

  • Actively identify and address strategic challenges that may hinder the team’s ability to achieve scientific, technical, and strategic goals.

Product Roadmap and Innovation:

  • Contribute to the research and development of the product roadmap, including the integration of AI/ML initiatives.

Deployment and Performance Tracking:

  • Collaborate closely with engineers to deploy solutions in production, both in real-time and batch processes.
  • Systematically track and analyze performance metrics to ensure optimal system functioning.

Team Building and Best Practices:

  • Foster a culture of team building and knowledge sharing, especially among more junior team members.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s / master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, product design or a related field.
  • Overall 6+ years of experience in dynamic product management or ownership.
  • At least five years of experience in software product management.
  • Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
  • High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams
  • Experience in delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Proven track record in increasing adoption on a digital product

Technical and operations acumen to understand the implications of back-end services and operations on user experience and vice versa

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in software and web development
  • Proven success as a product developer in a nonmanagerial role
